Designing Event-Controlled Continuous Processing Systems

چکیده

Many embedded systems, such as systems in the process control and measurement domains, are designed to perform continuous processing of input values and to produce and maintain corresponding output values. At the same time these systems have to react on events that reconfigures the processing algorithms. This paper will present some of the results of a Danish research project entitled “Architecture of embedded systems” inside COT (Centre for Object Technology). More specifically the paper will present the results of an object-oriented analysis, design and partial implementation of a frequency converter. The paper will also present an outline of an architecture for this kind of system and describe how the combination of several Design Patterns (Gamma et. al.) have been useful for building an object-oriented architectural model described with UML notation. The results presented will be relevant for most event-controlled continuous processing systems.

SIMULATING CONTINUOUS FUZZY SYSTEMS: I

In previous studies we first concentrated on utilizing crisp simulationto produce discrete event fuzzy systems simulations. Then we extendedthis research to the simulation of continuous fuzzy systems models. In this paperwe continue our study of continuous fuzzy systems using crisp continuoussimulation. Consider a crisp continuous system whose evolution depends ondifferential equations. Such a ...

Hybrid System Modeling and Event Identiication Hybrid System Modeling and Event Identiication

Hybrid control systems contain two distinct types of systems, continuous state and discrete-state, that interact with each other. Their study is essential in designing sequential supervisory controllers for continuous-state systems, and it is central in designing control systems with high degree of autonomy. After an introduction to intelligent autonomous control and its relation to hybrid cont...

Designing, validation, and reliability assessment of software to acquire kinematics parameters of motion by image processing

Motion analysis systems are useful and effective equipment in biomechanics research. Unfortunately these systems are available for few researchers because these are expensive equipment. The aim of this study was to design and validation of a practical and inexpensive software, to determine the exact markers position in space and compute the kinematic of movement. In designing the software, the ...

Event-Related Potentials of Bottom-Up and Top-Down Processing of Emotional Faces

Introduction: Emotional stimulus is processed automatically in a bottom-up way or can be processed voluntarily in a top-down way. Imaging studies have indicated that bottom-up and top-down processing are mediated through different neural systems. However, temporal differentiation of top-down versus bottom-up processing of facial emotional expressions has remained to be clarified. The present st...
